About RoKzKool4u

An innovative musical project

We provide music, mentoring, and exercise programs for school children in the Inverness-shire area. Our workshops will form partnerships with local schools and their communities.

RoKzKool4u run structured workshops during term time and offer week long courses during school holidays with emphasis very much on fun.

Our aim is to develop musical skill through a variety of activities. We believe that everybody has some kind of musical ability but some of us just need encouragement, confidence and direction to find it. All of our workshops will offer a series of activities devoted to the musical emotional and social development of children. The facilities are designed to entertain, exercise and stimulate children while reinforcing good social skills in a group musical environment

Fostering a commitment to young people

Our goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills and reassert a sense of hope in the future. Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be established that will give children the commitment to follow through on the path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

To achieve this young people will be in a caring, inclusive learning environment that promotes their best effort and enforce personal respect.  Over time, Rokzkool will create a learning environment that will be an invaluable resource to young people, aspiring mentors and the communities at large.

Unique to the Highlands

RoKzKool offers a unique service in the Highlands. There is no other extra curricular activity thats provides children with the opportunity to sample a wide variety of instruments such as various kinds of drums, double bass, acoustic and electric guitar, singing and learning the structure of musical notes. You can browse our gallery page to see some of the musical instruments and our students playing them.

Our workshops offer quality proven structure allowing both solo work, being part of a group and the skills and social skills learnt will transfer from the stage into the rest of their lives too!
